GIS people of the region getting together to network and have fun.
We're a group of conservation and GIS professionals who get together every ½-year so the managers of conservation spatial information in Sonoma County have a chance to get know each other and thus become more likely to collaborate.

December 5th, 2008 - Hosted by the Bodega Marine Lab. We had 29 folks in attendance representing 20 different organizations. Ryan Branciforte from the Bay Area Open Space Council gave us an insider's look at their Upland Habitat Goals project. And Ayzik Solomeshch and Alex Koltunov of UC Davis provided an overview of the State Coastal Conservancy-funded Sonoma-Marin Coastal Prairie Mapping Project.
July 20th, 2007 - Hosted by the Gold Ridge RCD at their historic Valley Ford School House in Valley Ford, CA. We had 21 representatives from 13 different organizations and agencies. Featured this meeting was an update on the various conservation planning efforts underway in around Sonoma County. Also, SSU professors Mateo Clark and Caroline Christian presented the results of a student project using MARXAN for reserve design in the Laguna de Santa Rosa. And folks from the Sonoma Ecology Center shared their new weed mapping tool, GeoWeed.
